The Paraguayan Chamber of Exporters and Traders of Cereals and Oilseeds (Capeco) continues negotiations for the fair payment of royalties for the new transgenic soybean RR2 to Monsanto, according to Sonia Tomassone, in charge of Foreign Trade of that organization

He explained that an agreement is being sought, from the private sector, made up of agribusiness unions. He emphasized that the negotiations with Monsanto are focused mainly on a fair payment for what they are working between the four countries of the region, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. He commented that if an agreement is reached between them, the conditions of negotiations will be better and the beneficiary will be the producer.
