GOOD FARMING PRACTICES

DAP develops its production based on a set of principles, standards and technical recommendations applicable to the production, processing and transport of soybeans and corn, aimed at ensuring the protection of human health and the environment, through ecologically safe, hygienically Acceptable and economically feasible.

All this is synthesized in Good Agricultural Practices.

SAFE USE AND SOIL MANAGEMENT

For the DAP Group, the soil is one of the most important resources, due to this the protection of the same is of great relevance, for this reason DAP carries out the following activities:

  • Sampling and Soil Analysis, where the results that allow knowing some physical and chemical properties to program a fertilizer application plan are recorded. Sampling is done once a year after the end of the corn harvest.

  • Direct Sowing, as one of the central elements in what is now called conservation agriculture; crop residues are distributed evenly and left on the soil surface; no implement is used to turn the soil, tillage it or incorporate crop residues.

  • Crop rotation, is essential for direct sowing because it promotes adequate levels of biomass to achieve permanent dead cover; It also helps in the control of weeds, pests and diseases, as well as improving the physical structure of the soil.

  • After a very long succession of crops, the soil has depleted its nutrients, so it is convenient to fertilize the soil to return them. This function can be done by growing other plants, and that is where Green Fertilizers come into play, which are also practices developed by the DAP Group.

Cultivation Management

Outsourcing of Agricultural Services

The DAP Group has contracted services of first level professionals for the Mechanization areas of all its crops in the Farms, in addition these professionals have the same opportunities for Training, Talks and updates in Management of Crops and Agricultural and Environmental Practices for the Good development of your activities.

The DAP Group is aware that the demands of globalization have shown the importance and need to convert Paraguayan livestock into more competitive production systems, with a long-term business vision and an internal organization designed to meet the needs of its customers and comply with environmental regulations and responsibilities.

The Livestock Production for the DAP group is based on 7 practices that at the same time comply with the triple line of results that the company seeks, these are the following;
